Arabinda Sahoo and Krishnika Birok won the men and women singles titles respectively in the Odisha State Badminton Championship, which was held at Saheed Nagar Indoor Hall in Bhubaneswar from 28 August to 2 September, 2019.
Among other successful shuttlers, Shruti Swain, Swetaparna Panda, Arya Majhi, Mayanak Bharadwaj, Partha Sarathi Mishra, Girija Sankar Ray, Kamal Das and Mohammad Hassim bagged a double crown each.
The five-day championship, featuring a total of 26 events, was organised by Orissa State Badminton Association (OSBA). State Government Sports Secretary Vishal Dev, Director R Vineel Krishna, Panchayati Raj Director Rajesh Prabhakar Patil and OSBA president Rohit Pujari handed over the trophies at the closing ceremony.
